Role:

From stable operation to scalable platform

You recognise where infrastructures reach their limits and find ways to make them safer, more efficient, and future-proof. Instead of limiting yourself to ongoing operations, you want to help shape technical decisions, automate recurring tasks, and develop solutions that endure even with increasing demands.

Responsibilities:

Platforms with a future

You design container environments with Rancher and Microsoft AKS on Azure. You further develop existing platforms, support their growth, and ensure they function reliably even with increasing utilisation and geographical expansion.

Linux as a foundation

You apply your experience with Linux and RHEL to operate demanding on-premises and cloud infrastructures stably. You identify dependencies, assess technical risks, and develop viable solutions for productive systems.

Solving problems at the root cause

When a disruption occurs, you analyse the situation systematically and take responsibility until a sustainable solution is found. In second- and third-level support, you are an important technical authority—both for troubleshooting and for clear communication with customers.

Making repeatable processes better

You create standards, document technical insights comprehensibly, and reduce manual effort through automation. Depending on the customer environment, you work on topics such as backup/restore, logging, storage, reverse proxy/WAF, and infrastructure monitoring.

Combining security and teamwork

You keep security requirements in view, critically question changes, and are a competent sparring partner for your team. You share your knowledge, contribute your own ideas, and help make technical decisions proactively.

Qualifications:

• You are very familiar with Linux systems and productive infrastructures.

• You have practical experience in at least one relevant infrastructure area: container technologies, automation, backup, storage, logging, or reverse proxy/WAF.

• You consider security, availability, and maintainability in technical solutions.

• You can independently analyse complex problems and present clear, customer-oriented solutions.

• You work responsibly, enjoy improving existing processes, and feel comfortable in a self-organised team.

• You have very good German language skills.

If you are also familiar with Kubernetes, Azure, SaltStack, NetApp, BIG-IP, Icinga, VMware, or Elastic and have basic networking knowledge, that is a plus.
