Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking a qualified professional as an ETH / FH architect for a creative architectural firm focusing on demanding new build projects, conversions, and the careful further development of historic building fabric. You will independently manage projects with a focus on detailed and execution planning and oversee diverse construction projects throughout the entire planning and realisation phases. The focus is on developing constructive detail solutions, digital architectural planning with ArchiCAD, and coordinating specialist planners and contractors. The position combines high-quality architecture, sustainable building culture, and precise execution planning with a high degree of personal responsibility and close collaboration between architecture and interior design.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of demanding architectural projects from design through detailed and execution planning to construction realisation

• Creation and coordination of execution and detail plans for new builds, conversions, and renovations of existing buildings

• Development of constructive and design detail solutions considering materials, building physics, functionality, and architectural quality

• Digital architectural planning and 3D modelling with ArchiCAD including creation and maintenance of consistent building models and plan documents

• Planning support for conversions and interventions in historic building fabric considering existing structures and heritage conservation requirements

• Coordination of specialist planners and experts in structural engineering, building services, building physics, and other disciplines

• Alignment between architecture and interior design to ensure consistent design and constructive project development

• Development of material and execution concepts for building envelopes, interiors, component connections, and individual construction solutions

• Assistance in preparing tender documents and technical support in evaluating contractor offers

• Planning support during construction including handling technical queries, plan adjustments, and coordination with site management

• Integration of sustainable building methods and resource-efficient materials with a special focus on preservation, durability, and constructive quality

• Ensuring planning and execution quality considering relevant SIA standards, Swiss building regulations, and project-specific requirements

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH with diploma or master’s degree or equivalent recognised higher education

• At least two years of professional experience in architectural planning, ideally focusing on detail and execution planning

• Solid knowledge of building construction and constructive detail development as well as experience in implementing demanding architectural projects

• Confident use of ArchiCAD and digital 3D planning to create precise execution documents and building models

• Interest in conversions, historic building fabric, and sustainable architecture as well as understanding of careful handling of existing buildings

• Knowledge of Swiss planning and construction processes and relevant SIA standards; prior training as a draughtsperson EFZ specialising in architecture is an advantage

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for independent project handling, technical documentation, and communication with project participants
