Role:
Connecting Kubernetes, automation, and cyber security: Build platforms that make modern software development secure, scalable, and efficient.
We are looking for a technically strong individual who not only operates infrastructure but understands it as a modern engineering platform. The focus is on Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, endpoint security, and the secure handling of sensitive data.
Work location: Bern or Zurich
Responsibilities:
Building and further developing modern Kubernetes and container platforms
Developing scalable platform services for engineering and development teams
Automating infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes
Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines for automated software releases
Implementing standardised DevOps and platform engineering patterns
Administering and further developing Linux-based platform components
Supporting and optimising Windows EDR and endpoint security solutions
Integrating security controls directly into development and deployment processes
Implementing data tagging, data labelling, and data rights management
Developing solutions for automated classification and protection of data
Building reusable automation components with Ansible or comparable technologies
Further developing existing infrastructure and virtualisation solutions
Defining technical standards, architectural principles, and best practices
Evaluating new technologies for Kubernetes, containers, automation, and cyber security
Qualifications:
Education, degree, or comparable solid practical experience in computer science
Practical experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
Good knowledge of Linux environments
Experience in Windows endpoint and EDR management
Confident handling of GitLab, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD platforms
Good knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and deployment automation
Experience with Ansible or comparable configuration management solutions
Understanding of data rights management, data tagging, or data labelling
Interest in cloud-native technologies and modern cyber security
Strong understanding of automation and standardisation
Analytical and structured thinking
Independent, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
