Role:

You want to not only operate cloud platforms but shape them fundamentally. As a Microsoft Cloud Engineer, you accompany the transition from on-premises infrastructures to Azure and Microsoft 365 with a clear architectural perspective. Your standard: clean structures, consistent automation, and uncompromising security. You define technical standards yourself, and other teams orient themselves accordingly. You test new technologies early and make well-founded decisions about what belongs in the platform.

Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for complex migration and transformation projects from local infrastructures to the Microsoft cloud.

• For scalable environments, you design landing zones with clear governance, management, and subscription structures.

• You write reusable Bicep modules and establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as a binding standard.

• Furthermore, you design identity and access management architectures with Entra ID, Conditional Access, and app registrations and further develop endpoint management with Intune.

• In addition, you design network architectures with VNets, private endpoints, and VPN and integrate these together with the network team into the firewall landscape.

• You also analyse disruptions across all technical layers and conduct proof of concepts for new security and AI technologies.

Qualifications:

• Several years of solid experience in engineering and architecture of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments form your foundation.

• You know compute, networking, and platform services in depth and have already built landing zones productively.

• Your PowerShell scripts automate even complex processes. In Bicep, you think consistently modularly.

• You bring profound knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, and MFA as well as practical experience with Microsoft Intune, device compliance, and endpoint security.

• Hybrid networks with routing, private DNS, and peering are familiar territory for you. Experience with Fortinet is a plus.

• Additionally, you translate zero-trust concepts into concrete architectural decisions. Microsoft certifications in security, identity, or solutions architecture are advantageous.
