Senior Network Operations Engineer - Critical Infrastructure (m/f/d)
Our client is an established technology company that develops and realises sophisticated technical systems and components for international applications. The company combines development, manufacturing and technical services and supports its solutions through various phases.
Precision, quality and reliable processes characterise the working environment. You can expect a technically demanding environment with short decision-making paths, high personal responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Technical support and continuous optimisation of complex network and communication environments for safety-critical applications
Operation and configuration of Cisco infrastructures, firewalls, storage systems and specialised communication components
Monitoring system stability as well as performing troubleshooting, fault analyses and maintenance work at various Swiss locations
Planning and implementation of system changes, upgrades and expansions including installation, testing and integration into existing environments
Support in infrastructure projects as well as creation of technical documentation, operating manuals and training materials
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, ICT or network technology or comparable technical background
Several years of professional experience in network engineering and solid knowledge in routing, switching and Cisco networks
Experience with firewalls and network security, ideally Cisco and Check Point technologies as well as CCSA/CCSE
Technical understanding of storage, virtualisation and highly available communication systems as well as pronounced troubleshooting skills
Independent, resilient and solution-oriented working style with a strong service orientation; very good German and good English (B2), French an advantage; driving licence category B, willingness for on-call duty and irregular assignments
Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate or work as a cross-border commuter
