Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader for the area of underground and tunnel construction. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of engineers and draftspeople and take on project management for demanding new build and refurbishment projects. You combine sound engineering knowledge with project management, client support and acquisition and work closely with clients, authorities and other planning partners. As part of the management team, you will also actively shape the professional and organisational development of the department.
Responsibilities:
Professional and personnel leadership and development of a team of engineers and draftspeople
Active participation in the underground construction management team and co-shaping the strategic and professional development of the department
Management and handling of complex tunnel and underground construction projects in new build and refurbishment
Responsibility for design, planning and technical coordination across the relevant project phases
Control of quality, costs, deadlines and resources within the projects for which you are responsible
Coordination of interfaces between underground construction, geotechnics, structural engineering and other disciplines
Ensuring professional planning in compliance with relevant SIA standards, technical guidelines and project specifications
Support in client support, acquisition, tendering and business development
Maintaining contacts and professional coordination with clients, authorities, suppliers and partner companies
Responsibility for project controlling, quality assurance and technical documentation
Representation of the department in internal and external committees and working groups
Professional support and promotion of employees in complex engineering technical issues
Qualifications:
University degree as civil engineer ETH/FH or comparable technical education
Several years of professional experience in underground construction, tunnel construction or structural engineering
Proven experience in project management of complex infrastructure or underground construction projects
Experience in professional and personnel leadership of engineers and technical staff
Sound knowledge in design, new build and refurbishment of underground structures
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss planning and design processes
Very good German language skills spoken and written
