MPA / Clinical Assistant (m/f/d) for the Cardiac Surgery Outpatient Clinic 80-100%
from 01.11.2026 or by arrangement, limited to 1 year with option for permanent employment
Your main tasks
- Performing blood draws (venous) according to standard procedures
- Inserting peripheral venous catheters (PVC) including monitoring and documentation
- Performing clinical-medical activities (writing ECGs, removing pacemaker electrodes, removing thoracic drains)
- Conducting daily examinations and documentation
- General care of patients in the cardiac surgery outpatient clinic in close coordination with the medical staff
- Coordinating appointments (internal consultations, examinations)
- Taking medical histories and status assessments upon admission, conducting assessments
- Organising and planning consultations, including patient flow, prioritisation and documentation
- Confident use of the clinical software KISIM (documentation, order entry, administration)
- Supporting doctors with wound checks, including preparation of materials, assistance and documentation
- Writing various reports
- Contributing to process changes (adjustments to instructions, guideline adaptations, introduction of new processes)
- Reviewing and completing consent documents (e.g. consent protocols, general consent)
- Professional and administrative support of medical and non-medical staff of the cardiac surgery outpatient clinic
- Health promotion and prevention measures
- Assuming the coordination function in the interdisciplinary team
Your profile
- Completed training as a Health Specialist EFZ or Medical Practice Assistant EFZ
- Experience in healthcare, preferably in the same or a similar role
- Very good and confident German language skills, both spoken and written; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Empathetic communication with patients and their relatives
- Structured and reliable working style with high self-discipline and initiative
- Team spirit and willingness to work interdisciplinarily
- High sense of responsibility and organisational talent, even in demanding situations
