What you can achieve.
- As a Subject Matter Expert: Clearance Gauge, you check and evaluate verification documents of infrastructure facilities and vehicles for completeness, plausibility and compliance with legal and normative requirements and prepare expert assessments.
- You are responsible for handling complex cross-facility tasks and analyses on clearance gauge topics.
- Together with other stakeholders, you define the infrastructure requirements and network access conditions regarding the clearance gauge.
- You work on interdisciplinary, cross-divisional projects at the interface between vehicle and infrastructure.
- You are an SBB mandate holder in national and international working groups in the field of clearance gauge and influence the scientific and technical development of regulations in the interest of Switzerland.
What you bring with you.
- With your quick grasp of complex issues and your structured way of working, you can quickly familiarise yourself with and contribute to new subject areas.
- You convince with networked thinking, quick comprehension and strong negotiation skills and communicate fluently and at eye level with different stakeholders and hierarchical levels.
- In addition, you have several years of experience in the railway sector, preferably in infrastructure or rail vehicle technology.
- For this role, we require a completed degree in mechanics, structural engineering (ETH/FH) or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience.
- You have very good knowledge (at least C1) of German and good knowledge of English (at least B2). Another national language is a plus.
