The EPFL School of Life Sciences runs the Innovate4Life (i4L) Program to train future life sciences entrepreneurs and accelerate the translation of EPFL discoveries into impactful technologies. Under the directorship of Prof. Li Tang, the i4L Program now seeks to strengthen its team and impact by fostering clinical and industrial partnerships that drive innovation in life sciences.
We are seeking a highly motivated entrepreneur with experience in biomedical sciences and life sciences innovation to build and strengthen partnerships with clinical institutions and industry, promoting the translation of scientific discoveries into tangible healthcare solutions. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in clinical research and/or connection with clinical partners.
- Establish and develop strategic partnerships with hospitals, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies to facilitate translational research and innovation.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and industry stakeholders to identify opportunities for joint projects, funding, and technology transfer.
- Act as a liaison between EPFL life sciences researchers and external partners to streamline clinical validation and commercialization pathways.
- Provide guidance on regulatory considerations, clinical trial design, and industry requirements for translational research projects.
- Contribute to the development of educational and entrepreneurial training programs within the i4L initiative.
- Organize networking events, workshops, and symposia to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange.
- Coordinate with the Vice Presidency for Innovation (VPI) at EPFL.
- PhD in Biomedical Sciences, MD, MD-PhD, or a related field with a strong background in translational medicine and life sciences innovation.
- Experience in clinical research, biotech or pharmaceutical industry collaborations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory pathways, clinical trial processes and technology transfer mechanisms.
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French or German is an asset.
