Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking a qualified professional for architectural planning, project design, and realisation of demanding building projects within an established Swiss architectural environment. You will handle diverse new build and renovation projects and accompany architecturally high-quality construction projects from design development through to detailed design and execution. The focus is on design quality, the development of well-considered architectural concepts, and the precise implementation of constructive and technical requirements. The position combines design expertise and sound building construction knowledge with independent handling of demanding planning tasks and close collaboration with interdisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of demanding architectural projects in the areas of design, project planning, and execution planning

• Participation in the development of architectural concepts for new build, renovation, and refurbishment projects with high design requirements

• Creation and further development of preliminary, construction, and execution plans according to the relevant SIA service phases

• Development of design variants, floor plan concepts, and façade studies considering design, functionality, and cost-effectiveness

• Development of constructive detail solutions for building envelopes, façades, roof constructions, interior fittings, and material connections

• Translation of architectural design concepts into technically feasible planning documents while maintaining design and constructive quality

• Creation and processing of digital architectural models and CAD planning documents for project and work planning

• Coordination and integration of specialist planner contributions from structural engineering, building services, building physics, and other special disciplines

• Coordination with clients, specialist planners, and authorities to clarify project requirements, building law frameworks, and technical interfaces

• Review and quality assurance of planning documents regarding dimensional accuracy, completeness, compliance with standards, and constructive feasibility

• Participation in material selection and sampling as well as architectural quality assurance during realisation

• Support of project management and site management in technical clarifications, plan adjustments, and implementation of architectural design specifications

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH/FH or comparable recognised higher education in architecture

• Professional experience in architectural project planning, preferably with knowledge in design, construction project, and execution planning

• Sound design and constructive expertise as well as experience in developing architectural concepts and technical detail solutions

• Good knowledge in planning demanding new build and renovation projects as well as in materialisation and constructive detailing

• Confident use of common CAD and architectural planning software, such as ArchiCAD, Revit, or comparable applications

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, and planning processes as well as experience in coordinating interdisciplinary specialist planner teams is an advantage

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for planning documents, technical project coordination, and communication with clients and specialist planners
