The "Clinique de la Main – Genève" is a human-scale surgical centre specialising in conditions and injuries of the hand, wrist and elbow. The Clinic offers all the services and guarantees of quality care, surgical treatment and follow-up that one can expect from a group of highly qualified, competent and experienced specialists. In addition, an occupational therapy service provides rehabilitation therapy tailored and specific to our patients.

Clinique de la Main Genève SA is looking for a Medical Device Technologist (MDT) to join its team in a professional, dynamic and human-scale environment.

The person will be mainly responsible for activities related to sterilisation and reprocessing of medical devices. Depending on their experience and development within the clinic, they may also be called upon to work in the operating theatre and collaborate with the surgical team.

Your missions/tasks:

• Ensure the reprocessing of reusable medical devices in accordance with current standards and internal protocols;
• Carry out the various stages of the sterilisation process: pre-disinfection, washing, inspection, tray reassembly, packaging, sterilisation and release of loads;
• Check the conformity, traceability and proper functioning of medical devices;
• Prepare and make available the operating trays in collaboration with the operating theatre team;
• Manage stocks of sterile medical devices, consumables and sterilisation equipment;
• Ensure maintenance, routine checks and monitoring of sterilisation equipment;
• Participate in the management of non-conformities and continuous improvement of quality processes;
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and regulatory requirements regarding sterilisation;
• Work closely with the operating theatre teams and other healthcare professionals;
• Participate in the training and supervision of CFC apprentices.

Your profile and qualifications:

• CFC training as Medical Device Technologist;
• Experience in the operating theatre;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Comfortable with IT tools and medical software;
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy and discretion;
• Ability to integrate into a dynamic and professional team.

You are able to take initiative and work independently. Your organisational skills allow you to successfully carry out the varied tasks for which you are responsible.

With an excellent team spirit, you appreciate multidisciplinary work and collaborate effectively with doctors and other healthcare professionals. You are empathetic, attentive and have very good interpersonal skills with patients.

You are a trustworthy person, rigorous and capable of the utmost discretion regarding the data processed.
