Role:
Modern workplaces today arise at the interface between own infrastructure and public cloud. It is exactly there that you work as a Citrix System Engineer, designing solutions around virtual desktops and Microsoft 365 (M365). You turn customer requirements into well-thought-out standards with long-term sustainability. When it gets technically tricky, you are the authority with the solution.
Responsibilities:
For complex error patterns, you take over 3rd level support and get to the root causes in the system architectures
You plan and optimise modern workplace solutions based on a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and multi-cloud platforms
You derive new product standards from specific customer requirements
Additionally, you implement private and multi-cloud projects technically at customers
You act as a technical sparring partner for project managers in IT projects
Furthermore, you ensure stable operation of the platforms and keep them technologically up to date
Qualifications:
A degree in computer science, relevant further training, or comparable professional experience forms your basis
You have already managed cloud desktop environments with Citrix and VMware Horizon in production
Virtualisation is your domain, and data backup with Veeam is also part of your repertoire
You are very familiar with Windows server and client systems and master Active Directory including group policies
You are familiar with Teams, Entra ID, Defender, and SharePoint, and you have a solid understanding of multi-cloud architectures
Moreover, you work independently with clear structure, maintain an analytical overview, and appreciate team exchange. You speak German fluently and communicate confidently in English
