Role:
Stable wireless networks are as natural today as electricity, and that is exactly what you ensure. As a WLAN Engineer, you shape the architecture of a large Enterprise WLAN landscape (Wireless Local Area Network) and develop it purposefully. In projects, you take on the technical leadership and set clear standards. Your word carries weight when it comes to new wireless technologies.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the architecture and further development of the entire wireless infrastructure.
You systematically analyse complex faults and develop sustainable solutions.
You design and optimise wireless networks for different site types, from office spaces to demanding operational environments.
Furthermore, you evaluate new technologies and bring them to production maturity.
You lead projects technically and coordinate closely with stakeholders.
In addition, you work hand in hand with the network and security teams.
Qualifications:
You have completed a vocational training in computer science (EFZ), ideally supplemented by further education at HF, FH or university level.
You have several years of experience in the enterprise wireless environment.
You possess solid know-how in WLAN technologies and are familiar with design, troubleshooting and optimisation of large environments from practice.
Furthermore, you know adjacent systems such as LAN/switching and network access control (NAC), for example Cisco ISE or Catalyst Center.
Initial experience with automation via APIs and Python is a plus. The same applies to certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
In addition, you are prepared for occasional on-call duties as well as night and weekend shifts.
