Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the overall project management of demanding architecture and building construction projects in an established Swiss architectural environment. You will take responsibility for complex construction projects from feasibility study through design and execution planning to realisation and handover. The focus is on leading interdisciplinary planning teams, cost and schedule management, quality assurance, and digital project processing with Archicad and Messerli. The position combines comprehensive project management and leadership responsibility with high-quality architecture and the realisation of diverse construction projects for private and public clients.

Responsibilities:

• Independent overall project management and control of demanding architecture and building construction projects across all SIA phases from feasibility study to handover

• Professional leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary planning teams from architecture, structural engineering, building services, and other specialist disciplines

• Responsibility for design, working and execution planning including technical coordination and ensuring architectural quality

• Development and monitoring of project schedules, milestones, and resource planning to ensure timely project completion

• Cost management and project controlling including budget monitoring, cost estimates, cost forecasts, and change management

• Coordination and quality assurance of construction project, working, detail, and execution plans using Archicad

• Management of tendering and awarding processes including cost estimation, specifications, offer comparisons, and award proposals with Messerli

• Coordination with clients, authorities, specialist planners, and contractors as well as leading project and planning meetings

• Review and coordination of specialist planner and contractor plans regarding technical interfaces, building construction, and execution quality

• Monitoring compliance with SIA standards, building regulations, and project-specific quality requirements throughout the project execution

• Technical support during construction including coordination with site management, handling execution queries, and constructive optimisations

• Support for building inspections, commissioning, and project completions including defect management, project documentation, and handover to the client

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree ETH/FH or comparable recognised higher education

• At least 6 years of professional experience in Switzerland as a project manager in architecture, especially in execution planning and realisation of demanding building construction projects

• Proven experience in professional leadership of interdisciplinary planning teams and overall project management across all SIA phases

• Sound knowledge of building construction, working planning, project management, cost management, and scheduling

• Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, and tendering processes

• Confident use of Archicad and Messerli as well as experience with CAD-supported planning, cost estimation, and construction administration

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project reports, client meetings, and contract negotiations
