Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed specialist for design planning and architectural development of demanding building projects. You will design innovative and functional living spaces and accompany diverse construction projects from the initial concept idea to detailed planning. The focus is on creative design work, digital 3D planning with ArchiCAD, and the development of architecturally convincing and legally feasible architectural concepts. The position combines architectural creativity, sound planning expertise, and independent project handling with collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Participation in the design planning of demanding building projects in residential construction as well as other diverse architectural projects

• Development of independent architectural concepts and design ideas considering aesthetic, functional, and economic requirements

• Preparation of feasibility studies, variant analyses, and architectural preliminary projects as a basis for further project development

• Elaboration of floor plan, façade, and volume concepts focusing on spatial quality, proportions, and architectural identity

• Creation and processing of digital 3D building models with ArchiCAD for the development, verification, and presentation of architectural designs

• Preparation of design, planning, and presentation plans for internal project meetings, clients, and other stakeholders

• Creation of visualisations, image editing, and graphic presentation materials using common image editing and layout programmes

• Review and integration of building law framework conditions, especially regarding utilisation rates, building dimensions, boundary distances, and cantonal building regulations

• Development of material, façade, and design concepts to ensure a high-quality overall architectural effect

• Coordination and alignment with project managers, specialist planners, and other participants to further develop technically and aesthetically convincing solutions

• Participation in transferring design concepts into construction project and approval planning, including constructive and functional detailing

• Independent handling of defined design and planning tasks while adhering to agreed deadlines, quality standards, and project goals

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or an equivalent recognised higher education qualification in architecture

• At least three years of professional experience in architectural planning in Switzerland with a focus on design planning, preliminary project planning, and architectural concept development

• Strong design competence and high architectural quality standards as well as a solid understanding of spatial design, proportions, materialisation, and functional floor plan concepts

• Very good user knowledge of ArchiCAD 3D and confident handling of digital design and building models

• Professional knowledge of common image editing and presentation programmes, such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

• Sound knowledge of relevant Swiss building laws and planning processes, especially cantonal and municipal building regulations in building construction, as well as an independent and proactive working style

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project coordination and presentation, as well as communication skills, teamwork, and strong commitment
