Network & Security Engineer - Zero Trust, FortiGate & Microsoft (m/f/d)

You are looking for a new challenge in IT where you can apply your skills as a System Engineer Network & Infrastructure. In this role, you take responsibility for a complex, highly available environment with multiple locations and modern network infrastructures. You manage an environment with a strong security focus and ensure that the IT infrastructure runs smoothly. You bring your experience and knowledge to optimise and further develop existing systems. You are a professional System Engineer with high-level experience and are looking for a new challenge where you can apply your skills.
Responsibilities:
You further develop a robust connectivity architecture and consistently implement technical protective measures.
You structure network areas through segmentation and establish access models based on the principle of least privilege.
You manage the Microsoft platform including directory services, name resolution, DHCP, and hypervisor environment.
You analyse security events, maintain access policies, and ensure secure remote connections.
You handle demanding escalations and design new solutions around NAC, SD-WAN, and automated network processes.
Qualifications:
You have a solid technical education or several years of practical experience in system and network technology.
You are proficient in Ethernet-based infrastructures, routing, switching, and vendor solutions such as UniFi, FS.com, or Cisco.
You are familiar with modern perimeter security and have experience with FortiGate; relevant certifications are welcome.
You are skilled in Windows server technologies, Microsoft 365, AD, and virtualised operating platforms.
You think networked, solve technical challenges pragmatically, and show curiosity for automation, Zero Trust, and current security concepts.
