Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced specialist as Client Representative Energy Infrastructure / High Voltage for a strategically important, multi-year major project in the Zurich area. As co-client representative, you will manage a general planner in the construction of a high-/medium-voltage substation and share responsibility for costs, schedules, quality, contracts, and project documentation. A particular focus lies on the demanding interface management between construction and electromechanics as well as the coordination of various client and project parties. You will accompany the project through the further SIA phases up to realisation, commissioning, and project handover.
Responsibilities:
Assuming the role of client representative for a complex new construction project in the field of high-/medium-voltage and energy infrastructure
Managing and leading the general planner regarding project goals, services, quality, costs, and schedules
Responsibility for client-side project management in accordance with SIA 101 and SIA 112
Monitoring and controlling project budget, schedule, quality, risks, and contractual services
Managing change and claims management and assessing impacts on costs, schedules, and project scope
Maintaining and further developing the project manual, project specification sheet (PPH), decision and project documentation
Coordinating the complex interfaces between construction, high voltage technology, medium voltage technology, and electromechanics
Coordinating with adjacent infrastructure projects, specialist planners, authorities, and other project participants
Preparing and supporting phase completions, tenders, awards, and approval procedures
Supporting plan approval, environmental, and public law procedures as well as coordinating the relevant specialist offices
Accompanying the later realisation, acceptance, commissioning, and project handover
Ensuring professional stakeholder, conflict, risk, and decision management in a complex client organisation
Qualifications:
University degree as Civil Engineer FH/ETH, Architect FH/ETH or comparable technical qualification
Many years of experience as client representative or project manager client in large infrastructure, energy, or industrial construction projects
Sound knowledge of SIA phases as well as SIA 101 and SIA 112 and Swiss project execution
Experience in managing general planners, large projects, project changes as well as cost, schedule, and risk management
Knowledge of public procurement law (IVöB) as well as approval or plan approval procedures is an advantage
Experience with high voltage systems, substations, energy infrastructure or electromechanical interfaces is an advantage
Fluent German skills for contract, authority, and stakeholder communication
