As a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer, you take on a central role in the support and further development of modern IT infrastructures. You work on demanding datacentre, virtualisation and hybrid cloud solutions, accompany technical projects and ensure together with the team a stable, secure and future-proof IT operation. You can contribute your know-how, take responsibility and actively participate in the further development of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
You ensure the reliable operation, further development and technical optimisation of modern hybrid IT environments and work with HPE, HPE VME, VMware and Veeam.
Together with the operations team, you ensure a stable and secure system landscape and take responsibility for patch, update and lifecycle processes, including Azure Update Management.
You implement demanding infrastructure projects and are involved from the technical conception through migration to the implementation of on-premises and datacentre solutions.
In the event of demanding system failures, you conduct a structured fault analysis, develop sustainable solutions and ensure long-term system stability.
You accompany operational handovers, create professional system documentation and support your team as a competent contact person for technical challenges.
Qualifications:
You have completed a training as an IT specialist EFZ and ideally have or are currently pursuing a higher vocational education (HF/FH).
You bring at least 3 years of professional experience in the field of datacentre, virtualisation or hybrid cloud and are familiar with HPE, VMware and Veeam.
You have practical experience in migration, integration and implementation of on-premises and datacentre infrastructures and ideally have contact with patch management and automation.
You are characterised by an independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working. Even with complex technical issues, you keep an overview and work reliably in a team.
You communicate confidently in German and well in English, are interested in new technologies and enjoy continuously expanding your technical know-how.
