For our specialised maintenance workshop in Dietikon, we are looking for a technically skilled individual for the maintenance of our shunting locomotives. In this role, you combine practical workshop work, repairs and diagnostics on the vehicles (approx. 80%) with technical support for our operational engineering (approx. 20%). This is what you can achieve.

Workshop, Support and Maintenance of Shunting Locomotives (approx. 80%)

• During the preventive maintenance of diesel and hybrid locomotives, you check vehicle-specific systems such as radio remote controls, train radio systems, compressed air and brake systems as well as train protection systems and their components.
• You carry out functional checks and replace components if necessary; conversions and modifications of prototypes are carried out in coordination with engineering.
• With your technical know-how, you systematically troubleshoot and use computer-assisted diagnostic systems to rectify faults in diesel engines, exhaust aftertreatment systems, hydraulics and electrical control technology.
• You replace and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electronic assemblies (e.g. axle gearboxes, compressors, bogie components, pumps, converters) and carry out inspections and approvals of the vehicles in accordance with the applicable maintenance and safety regulations.

• As a technical interface between the workshop and operational engineering, you ensure the flow of information and clarify technical issues.
• You create fault analyses (root cause), write reports and take over the technical documentation in case of serial problems.
• In our locomotive workshop, you actively participate in the optimisation of maintenance processes, test plans and work instructions and support technical special investigations, fleet modifications and retrofit projects.

• High safety and quality orientation, independent working style as well as enjoyment of teamwork and practical workshop work complete your profile.
• Further training as a certified technician HF (e.g. electrical engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering or mechanical engineering) or as a certified master (e.g. maintenance manager, production manager industry, electrical installation and safety expert) completes your profile.
• A good understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and vehicle electrics as well as an interest in systematic diagnostics and troubleshooting characterise you. A confident handling of common MS Office applications and diagnostic software is required for documentation and reporting work.
• With your independent, reliable and structured working style, you take responsibility and consistently pay attention to safety and quality.
• You have successfully completed an apprenticeship as an electromechanic, electrician, automation technician or automatic assembly technician.
