Role:
Cloud security does not happen by chance but through clear architecture and consistent implementation. As an Azure Security Engineer, you are responsible for the secure operation and further development of a modern Azure platform. You design security architectures and implement protective measures technically, supported by a central cyber security team. You can expect an agile environment with high technical depth and plenty of scope for creativity.
Responsibilities:
You develop security requirements for the cloud environment and implement them according to best practices.
You identify cyber security risks of the platform and assess them thoroughly.
Furthermore, you define preventive measures and bring them into operation.
You accompany cloud projects, clarify protection needs, and design appropriate security solutions.
Additionally, you maintain cloud security concepts and standards.
You also document solutions and share your knowledge within the team.
Qualifications:
You hold a university degree in computer science or cyber security, complemented by further training or certifications in the cloud and security environment.
You have several years of experience in security roles with a focus on cloud security.
You are familiar with hyperscaler technologies, especially Azure, including associated SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform and Git as well as CI/CD pipelines is part of your daily routine.
Furthermore, you are familiar with security frameworks and standards such as ISO/IEC 270xx or NIST. Knowledge of Kubernetes or Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a plus.
You communicate confidently in German and navigate English technical exchanges effortlessly.
