Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the project management and realisation of demanding building construction projects in an established Swiss real estate and construction management environment. You will take responsibility for the execution phase of residential developments, hotel, commercial and residential buildings with special usage requirements and manage the construction projects until successful handover. The focus is on leading interdisciplinary project teams, coordinating construction execution, cost and schedule management, as well as quality assurance. The position combines independent project management responsibility with tendering and awarding processes, client coordination, and the implementation of demanding new build and refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and control of demanding building construction projects during the execution and realisation phase according to SIA standards

• Responsibility for the implementation of residential developments, hotel, commercial and other building projects considering costs, schedules and quality requirements

• Technical and organisational leadership of interdisciplinary project teams from construction management, architecture, specialist planning and executing companies

• Creation, monitoring and updating of construction programmes and schedules including milestone control and resource coordination

• Cost management and project controlling including budget monitoring, cost forecasts, change management and final accounts

• Preparation and review of tender documents, specifications and submissions as well as conducting offer comparisons and awarding negotiations

• Preparation and handling of work contracts as well as monitoring of contractually agreed services, costs and execution quality

• Coordination with clients, authorities, architects, specialist planners and contractors as well as leading project and coordination meetings

• Quality assurance of construction execution through review of execution plans, technical specifications and completed construction services

• Ensuring compliance with occupational safety, environmental and site regulations considering applicable SUVA guidelines and legal requirements

• Management of change and risk including technical execution clarifications, change order reviews and action planning

• Organisation and support of construction inspections, commissioning and handovers including defect management, revision documentation and warranty handling

Qualifications:

• Completed basic training in the main construction trade with further education as certified building manager:in building construction, HF technician in construction planning or architect FH/HTL or equivalent qualification

• Several years of professional experience in independent management and realisation of building construction projects in the Swiss construction and real estate market

• Proven experience in leading and coordinating construction management, specialist planners and executing companies

• Sound knowledge in construction management, construction execution, cost and schedule control as well as quality assurance

• Very good knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, especially SIA 118, as well as relevant building regulations, work contracts and execution standards

• Confident use of MS Office and construction administration software, for example Messerli, Provis or comparable systems

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project reports, contract documents, awarding negotiations and client meetings
