Project Manager Construction Management (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Project Manager Construction Management for an established architecture and construction management company with demanding building projects for private and public clients. You will take overall responsibility for diverse construction projects from feasibility study through planning and tendering to realisation and handover. The focus is on project management according to SIA, leading interdisciplinary planning and execution teams, as well as cost, schedule and quality management. The position combines technical project responsibility with construction administration, cost planning, tender management and operational construction project control.

Responsibilities:

• Overall project management construction management: Independently leading demanding building projects from feasibility study to completion and handover to the client

• Project execution according to SIA: Managing all relevant SIA phases considering agreed project goals, quality standards and contractual requirements

• Leading interdisciplinary project teams: Professionally leading and coordinating architects, civil engineers, specialist planners, site managers and contractors

• Cost planning and cost control: Preparing and monitoring cost estimates, quotations, project budgets and cost forecasts according to BKP

• Construction administration with Messerli: Handling specifications, tenders, awards, contracts, change orders and final accounts

• Scheduling with MS Project: Creating, updating and monitoring project schedules, construction programmes, milestones and resource plans

• Tender and award management: Coordinating specifications, contractor submissions, offer comparisons and award proposals

• Client support and project coordination: Aligning project goals, planning decisions and execution processes with private and public clients

• Quality management and execution control: Monitoring technical execution quality and ensuring compliance with SIA standards, building regulations and project requirements

• Project controlling and reporting: Monitoring costs, schedules, quality, project risks and performance status as well as preparing decision bases and project reports

• Contract and change order management: Reviewing and coordinating planner and contractor contracts, scope changes, change orders and contractor claims considering SIA 118

• Project completion and handover: Coordinating inspections, defect rectification, commissioning, final accounts and handover to the client

Qualifications:

• Completed education as architect FH/ETH, civil engineer FH/ETH, draughtsperson EFZ architecture with HF further education or comparable construction-technical training

• At least five years of professional experience in Swiss construction project management, especially in the realisation of demanding building projects with leadership responsibility

• Solid knowledge in construction management, construction administration and project execution according to SIA, especially SIA 112 and SIA 118

• In-depth experience in cost planning according to BKP, tenders, awards, contracts and project controlling

• Very good user knowledge of Messerli construction administration, MS Project and Microsoft 365, especially Excel and Word

• Proven experience in professional leadership of interdisciplinary planning and execution teams as well as coordination of private and public clients

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for client support, contract management and technical project execution
