In this role as General Ledger Accountant, you contribute with your commitment to actively shaping the future of energy and sustainability. Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB (IFRS knowledge is an advantage but not a disqualifier)
You independently manage the general ledger accounting including reconciliation of intercompany transactions and correct account management
You ensure compliance with national accounting standards as well as internal group policies and processes
You prepare and review VAT returns and summary reports and work closely with tax consultants
You prepare regular financial reports, analyse variances and support ad-hoc analyses for management and external parties
You manage and assess provisions, prepaid expenses and other balance sheet items
You prepare documents for internal and external audits and accompany these
Qualifications:
You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further training as a certified accountant or a comparable qualification (e.g. Bachelor/Master in Business Administration with a focus on accounting)
You bring several years of professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an international corporation or an auditing firm
You have solid knowledge of HGB; experience with consolidation processes and knowledge of VAT are advantageous
You work very confidently with MS Office, especially Excel, and have experience with ERP systems such as SAP; knowledge of Power BI or LucaNet is a plus
You communicate fluently in German and English
