IT System Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
An experienced individual is sought for an internationally oriented company who will take responsibility for demanding IT infrastructure topics and simultaneously accompany IT projects from planning to successful implementation. The position combines technical depth with project responsibility and offers plenty of scope for creativity in a professional environment.
In addition to the further development and stable operation of the infrastructure, you actively participate in global IT initiatives. In doing so, you take a central role in complex technical issues and coordinate internal as well as external contacts.
Responsibilities:
Planning, management and successful implementation of IT infrastructure projects considering time, budget and quality
Ensuring stable, secure and economical operation of data centres, networks and central applications
Technical collaboration and implementation of international IT projects as an experienced Infrastructure Engineer
Analysis and resolution of complex faults in 2nd- and 3rd-level support
Support of selected business applications and global IT services as well as coordination of external providers
Taking on the IT on-call service and handling critical incidents outside regular working hours
Qualifications:
Completed training or degree in computer science, systems engineering or a comparable qualification
At least 5 years of professional experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role
Experience in coordinating internal staff, IT partners and external service providers
Sound knowledge of Microsoft server environments as well as experience with VMware, Citrix, Veeam or comparable technologies
Good practical knowledge of network technologies such as LAN, WAN, VLAN, routing and firewalls as well as in IT security
Experience in 2nd- and 3rd-level support, very good German skills and good to very good English skills
