Senior Project / Real Estate Development Architecture (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Senior Project Manager: Real Estate Development & Architecture for the development and management of demanding new build, conversion and repurposing projects. You assess properties in terms of feasibility, development potential and profitability and accompany the projects from the initial idea through planning and approval to realisation and handover. In doing so, you combine strategic real estate development with sound architectural expertise and also work operationally on the projects in design, planning, 3D modelling and visualisation. As the central interface between investors, owners, authorities and planning teams, you are responsible for the overall quality, cost and schedule control.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of feasibility, potential and development studies for new builds, conversions and repurposing

• Analysis of plots and existing properties regarding building law, utilisation potential, market positioning and profitability

• Development of object, development and renovation strategies as well as various investment and utilisation scenarios

• Management of projects from design through approval and execution planning to construction release, realisation and handover

• Active participation in design, concept development, planning, 3D modelling and visualisation

• Leadership and coordination of project managers, architects, specialist planners, 3D artists and external specialists

• Conducting building law preliminary checks and coordinating projects with authorities and other approval bodies

• Support in real estate acquisitions and portfolio due diligence as well as assessment of technical and planning project risks

• Conducting and validating cost, feasibility, investment and value analyses

• Preparation of investment recommendations and decision-making bases for management and investment committees

• Responsibility for overall cost, schedule, quality and risk management during project development and implementation

• Management of collaboration with owners, developers, authorities, sellers, legal advisors and other project partners

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture FH/ETH or comparable construction or real estate-related education with a solid construction background

• 5-10 years of professional experience in real estate/project development, architecture or client representation, preferably in Switzerland

• Sound knowledge of the Swiss real estate market, building law, approval procedures, SIA standards and construction cost structures

• Experience in feasibility studies, project development, due diligence and profitability assessment

• Very good knowledge of ArchiCAD and/or Revit/BIM as well as experience with Adobe Creative Suite and digital visualisation processes

• Experience in cost, schedule and quality management across multiple project phases

• Very good German language skills spoken and written; English skills are an advantage
