Role:

On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced leader as Project Manager Construction / Master Builder for the independent management of demanding construction projects in building and/or civil engineering. You bear overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and occupational safety and manage the projects from work preparation to successful handover. In addition to operational project management, you contribute to acquisition, calculation, and tender preparation and develop economical contractor and execution variants. The position combines technical project responsibility with entrepreneurial thinking, contract management, and process optimisation.

Responsibilities:

• Independent management and overall responsibility for construction projects from project takeover to acceptance and handover

• Control and monitoring of costs, deadlines, quality, and occupational safety throughout the entire project execution

• Responsibility for project controlling, cost forecasts, and post-calculations as well as early initiation of appropriate measures in case of deviations

• Planning and coordination of work preparation, site organisation, resources, and construction processes in cooperation with site management and foremen

• Participation in acquisition, tenders, calculation, and offer preparation for new construction projects

• Development and economic evaluation of contractor variants, execution variants, and optimisation proposals

• Conducting award, contract, and supplementary negotiations with clients, planners, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Coordination of collaboration with clients, engineering and planning offices, authorities, and subcontractors

• Responsibility for supplementary management, measurement, billing, and contract management within the projects managed

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, contracts, quality requirements, and occupational safety regulations

• Active development of project execution, calculation, and construction processes focusing on cost-effectiveness and efficient execution

Qualifications:

• Degree as certified master builder or studies as civil engineer FH/ETH

• Several years of professional experience in management and execution of demanding construction projects in the Swiss construction environment

• Sound knowledge in calculation, work preparation, construction cost management, and project controlling

• Experience with tenders, contracts, supplementary management, and construction billing

• Very good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction practice

• Confident handling of industry-standard construction administration, calculation, and ERP systems

• Very good German language skills for contract negotiations, project correspondence, and documentation
