Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional for construction management and project execution of general contractor/specialist contractor projects with entrepreneurial development prospects. You will manage new build, conversion and renovation projects in residential, industrial and commercial construction from project start to defect-free handover. In addition to operational construction management, you will increasingly take responsibility for client development, acquisition and building your own team. The position is aimed at individuals who wish to gradually expand their professional responsibility to include leadership and entrepreneurial tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Independent construction and project management of general contractor/specialist contractor projects as well as construction service mandates

• Implementation of new build, conversion and renovation projects in residential, industrial and commercial construction

• Planning and control of construction execution from project start to acceptance and handover

• Coordination of architects, specialist planners, contractors, suppliers and other project partners

• Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality and execution processes

• Preparation and updating of construction programmes, schedules and cost forecasts

• Conducting tenders, offer comparisons, awards and contract management

• Leading construction, contractor and coordination meetings as well as ongoing site supervision

• Processing of measurements, change orders, invoice verifications and project accounting

• Management of acceptances, defect management and defect-free project handover

• Active development and maintenance of your own client and partner network as well as participation in acquisition and offer preparation

• Gradual building and operational management of your own team as well as involvement in the strategic further development of construction management

Qualifications:

• Degree as certified construction manager, certified technician HF construction planning, architect FH/ETH or comparable construction-technical qualification

• Several years of experience in construction management or project management in Swiss building construction, ideally in the general contractor/specialist contractor environment

• Sound knowledge of construction execution, tendering, awarding, cost and change order management

• Good knowledge of Swiss building standards, SIA standards and contract law

• Confident use of Messerli and MS Office

• Experience or strong interest in acquisition, client development and leadership responsibility

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
