Role:
You want to not only manage security architectures but actively shape them. In this position as Security Infrastructure Engineer, you are responsible for a demanding environment of firewalls, proxies, and load balancers. Old structures are gradually giving way to a modern target architecture, and you drive this change forward technically. Depth, pragmatic decisions, and enjoyment of collaboration across team boundaries are required.
Responsibilities:
You plan, operate, and further develop network security solutions, focusing on Palo Alto
You carry out migrations from legacy systems to the target architecture
Furthermore, you manage the security infrastructure with web proxy, load balancers including WAF, as well as firewalls in the cloud and in the company’s own data centre
You analyse disruptions and resolve them sustainably
In addition, you advise on projects and architectural questions
You also document solutions and share your knowledge within the team
Qualifications:
You have several years of experience in IT and are familiar with operating complex environments
You are comfortable working with firewalls, proxy services, and VPN technologies
You work confidently with Palo Alto NGFW, and a relevant certificate complements your profile
You ideally have network-related further training with a security focus, such as CCNP Enterprise
Additionally, you score with solid network know-how, for example with Cisco in data centre, LAN, WLAN, and core
You also work solution-oriented and team-focused, communicate fluently in German, are proficient in English, and do not take yourself too seriously
