Role:
For our ROCKEN partner, an internationally active company in the fields of construction/architecture, electrical/electronics, medical technology, and mechanical engineering located in Oerlikon, Zurich, we are looking for an experienced individual as Senior HR Business Partner Switzerland. You are the central HR contact for the Swiss organisation and advise management and executives on all strategic and operational HR matters. Together with the local HR team and in close coordination with Group HR, you actively shape the leadership culture and HR processes.
Responsibilities:
You advise management and executives on strategic and operational HR topics and help shape organisational structures, roles, and responsibilities
You manage strategic workforce planning, identify competency, retention, and succession risks early, and derive measures
You are responsible for professional support throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from job approval through recruitment and onboarding to development, internal mobility, and exit
You coach managers on performance management as well as talent and succession processes and support complex personnel cases and organisational changes
You accompany salary rounds as well as compensation and benefits processes within the framework of group-wide guidelines
Together with internal departments and external partners, you ensure reliable HR administration and payroll and oversee compliance with Swiss labour and social security law
You provide meaningful workforce analyses and use metrics on engagement and turnover as a basis for decision-making
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, law, or a related field; further training in HR management is an advantage
You bring at least five years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable demanding HR role; leadership experience is an advantage
You have sound knowledge of Swiss labour and social security law and are experienced in handling complex personnel cases
You have experience in a Swiss SME or a national organisation, ideally in an international, commercial, or industrial environment
You have an understanding of payroll processes as well as experience in compensation & benefits, performance management, succession planning, and learning & development
You are confident in handling personnel data and workforce metrics; knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage
You convince with consulting and coaching skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and professional handling of confidential matters
You have very good German and English skills, both spoken and written; French skills are an advantage
