About the job
The Directorate of Technology and Innovation (DTI) of the Insel Group is responsible for the planning, further development, and operation of the ICT and medical technology landscape of one of Switzerland's leading hospital companies. The Server & Storage team ensures central platform and basic services for the operation of the critical ICT infrastructure – from server and virtualisation platforms to storage and backup, as well as central platforms for clinical operations.
What to expect
- You are responsible for the operation and further development of the Epic client systems, ensuring their stability, security, and performance.
- You analyse complex technical issues and resolve faults sustainably and solution-oriented.
- You plan, test, and implement new functions, releases, and changes in close collaboration with internal departments and Epic.
- You automate recurring tasks and actively drive the standardisation of our operational processes.
- You contribute your expertise to exciting infrastructure and digitalisation projects and help shape the platform of the future.
- You work in a well-coordinated team that shares knowledge, supports each other, and masters challenging tasks together.
- You collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and manufacturers, contributing to successful cooperation across team boundaries.
What you bring
- Completed training in computer science or a comparable qualification
- Good German skills as well as good English skills (at least level B2)
- Successfully completed Epic certifications or willingness to acquire them during your induction (partly directly at Epic in the USA)
- Several years of experience in operating virtualised systems
- Experience in patch management, hardening, and implementation of security standards
- Good knowledge of scripting and automation
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker or comparable solutions
- Good knowledge of VMware vSphere as well as basic understanding of storage and network technologies
- Experience in troubleshooting complex environments
- Basic knowledge of databases, monitoring, and backup solutions is an advantage
- Experience with ITIL processes, ServiceNow, or comparable ITSM tools is an advantage
- Willingness to further educate yourself in technologies such as Nutanix and obtain corresponding certifications
