Role:
In this role, you apply your extensive expertise as a professional system engineer for hybrid cloud where it truly makes a difference. You develop future-proof hybrid cloud solutions and work with current cloud and virtualisation technologies. You accompany clients in exciting projects and actively contribute your ideas to shaping the solutions. You ensure that the technical solutions not only convince professionally but also create real added value in the clients’ daily operations.
Responsibilities:
You operate, maintain, and optimise hybrid IT infrastructures based on HPE hardware, HPE VME, VMware, and Veeam and actively contribute to their technical development.
You support the operations team in the stable and secure operation of hybrid cloud and datacentre environments and take on tasks related to patch, update, and lifecycle management, including Azure Update Management.
You plan, configure, migrate, and implement modern on-premises, virtualisation, and datacentre solutions within customer projects and internal datacentre environments.
You analyse more complex technical faults, identify their causes, and develop sustainable solutions for reliable and stable operation.
You accompany the handover of new or changed system environments into operational use and ensure that configurations, dependencies, and operational processes are fully and comprehensibly documented.
You contribute your own ideas for automation and standardisation of infrastructure and operational processes and support the continuous development of existing platforms.
You work closely with engineering and operations, support colleagues with technical questions, and ensure sustainable team development through active knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
You have completed training as an IT specialist EFZ and ideally further education at HF or FH level or are currently pursuing such further education.

You have practical knowledge of HPE hardware infrastructures as well as VMware and Veeam and can confidently use these technologies in daily operations.
You have experience in the implementation, migration, or integration of on-premises and datacentre solutions and understand the requirements for productive infrastructure environments.
Knowledge of patch, update, or lifecycle management and initial experience with automation solutions are advantageous; ideally, you have already worked with Azure Update Management or comparable technologies.
You can analyse technical problems in a structured manner and work independently, reliably, and solution-oriented even in more complex infrastructure environments.
You enjoy working in a team, actively contribute to projects and ongoing operations, and share your technical knowledge with colleagues.
You have very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form and can confidently understand and create technical documentation.
You are interested in current developments around hybrid cloud, datacentre, virtualisation, and automation and are ready to continuously develop your expertise.
