Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Civil Engineering & Road Construction Project Manager (80-100%) for the planning and realisation of diverse municipal and cantonal infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for projects in road, sewer, and utility construction from design through tendering to construction management and commissioning. You will lead internal project teams, coordinate external specialist planners, and ensure compliance with costs, deadlines, and quality. The position combines civil engineering, design, and construction management with modern 2D/3D and BIM planning as well as direct contact with clients and authorities.
Responsibilities:
Independent design and management of civil and road construction projects
Handling of municipal, cantonal, and private infrastructure projects
Planning and realisation of road, sewer, and utility construction
Coordination of complex combined projects with multiple utility and infrastructure providers
Taking over project and construction management from planning to completion
Leading the internal project team and coordinating external specialist planners and experts
Responsibility for costs, deadlines, quality, and project progress
Preparation and coordination of tender and submission documents
Collaboration with draftsmen and designers in 2D/3D and BIM planning
Communication and negotiation with clients, municipalities, cantonal authorities, and companies
Coordination of partners within engineering associations and interdisciplinary planning teams
Preparation of project reports, cost forecasts, and decision-making bases for clients and internal project managers
Qualifications:
Completed studies as Civil Engineer BSc/MSc at FH, ETH or University level or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in planning and design of municipal civil and road construction projects
Sound knowledge in road, sewer, and utility construction
Experience in project and construction management as well as cost and schedule management
Knowledge of Swiss SIA/VSS standards, tendering and construction processes
Experience with 2D/3D planning and BIM in civil engineering is an advantage
Very good German language skills spoken and written
