Role:
Our client is a globally active Swiss company in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry and is one of the established players in the life sciences sector. Responsibilities:
You act as a Senior Specialist for IFRS Accounting and professionally support complex transactions and projects, including acquisitions, partnerships, financings, and divestments.
You support and are responsible as a preparer for the external IFRS consolidated reporting on a semi-annual and annual basis.
You lead the technical accounting processes around monthly closings and external reporting cycles and ensure consistent implementation.
You develop practical accounting guidelines from IFRS and other reporting requirements and keep the group-wide accounting manual up to date.
Qualifications:
You bring a higher education in finance/accounting or a comparable professional accounting qualification as well as several years of experience in IFRS external reporting for a globally active company.
You have extensive expertise in technical accounting and IFRS as well as solid experience with complex matters such as M&A, divestments, partnering, and revenue recognition.
You have experience in managing projects and teams, work in a detail-oriented and analytical manner, and possess a strong end-to-end solution orientation.
You remain reliable and flexible even under tight deadlines, communicate business English at a very high level, and ideally have knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and the German language.
