Role:
In this role, you take responsibility for the smooth operation of complex network infrastructures and ensure their security, availability, and performance. You analyse network architectures, identify optimisation potentials, and implement technical improvements in a structured manner. You plan and implement demanding network projects, coordinate changes across all relevant systems, and document your solutions comprehensibly. Additionally, you support senior-level troubleshooting, conduct root cause analyses, and derive sustainable measures to stabilise the environment. Through your experience, you shape standards, guidelines, and best practices in the network area, thereby significantly contributing to the further development of the entire infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Planning and realisation of secure communication infrastructures for demanding customer environments.
Development of technical network designs focusing on availability, protection mechanisms, and sustainable operation.
Configuration, integration, and validation of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network components.
Analysis of complex connectivity and security issues as well as support in extended technical support.
Technical consulting in projects, architectural decisions, and solution concepts including accompanying customer orders.
Qualifications:
Advanced technical education in computer science, network technology, or engineering at HF, FH, or university level.
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security.
Practical experience with solutions from leading manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet.
Ideally knowledge of WAN, radio relay, or encrypted communication solutions as well as willingness to learn new technologies.
Analytical and solution-oriented personality with very good German and good English skills as well as a strong willingness to learn.
