You ensure a stable and high-performance IT operation and continuously develop the server and system landscape. You manage physical and virtual servers with Proxmox as well as central Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
You are the point of contact for complex technical challenges in 3rd-level support and find solutions for demanding problems in on-premises and GCP environments. With targeted monitoring, regular updates, and proactive maintenance, you ensure secure operation.
You actively shape the network and security infrastructure and work with firewalls, load balancers, VPCs, and routing technologies. You also take care of certification authorities and the management of SSL/TLS certificates.
You further develop technical standards, optimise system and network security, and ensure with clear documentation that systems can be operated and maintained reliably.
You contribute your expertise beyond daily business, participate in the 24/7 IT on-call service, and support maintenance work outside regular hours as needed. Occasional assignments at various holiday locations complete your diverse range of tasks.
Qualifications:
You have completed an IT education at EFZ, HF, or FH level or hold a comparable university degree and bring at least five years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technology, or IT security.
You have solid knowledge in server administration, Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, and network technology. Experience with Proxmox, GCP, and Microsoft SQL databases is especially welcome.
You are familiar with network architectures, firewalls, and IT security and ideally have already managed certificate services and SSL/TLS certificates.
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner. Complex technical problems motivate you, and you enjoy taking responsibility and continuously improving existing systems.
You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working in a team. Additional IT certifications or experience in software development are a plus.
