Role:

A stable cloud does not arise by chance but through clean architecture and consistent automation. This is exactly where you come in as an Engineer Azure Cloud & Modern Workplace, taking responsibility for a Microsoft Azure infrastructure in operation and further development. Your daily work connects network, identity, and devices into a coherent whole. With PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code, you make processes reproducible. You always keep costs, security, and availability in view.

Responsibilities:

• You plan cloud migrations, technical changes, and lifecycle measures and implement them in a structured manner.

• You design network structures with VNets, subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSG) as well as compute and storage resources.

• You configure Microsoft Entra ID with role models, app registrations, and enterprise applications and technically implement security requirements on the platform.

• Furthermore, you introduce and reliably operate Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Intune, and Windows 365.

• With monitoring, alerting, and logging, you ensure high availability and optimise backup, recovery, and Windows Server systems.

• You also analyse complex incidents down to the root cause and optimise existing resources for performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3 years of experience in cloud and systems engineering with Azure and Windows Server.

• You confidently use virtual machines, storage, private networking, and other IaaS and PaaS services.

• You are at home with network topics such as DNS, routing, VPN, firewalls, and hybrid connections.

• Additionally, you enjoy automating with PowerShell and have practical experience with Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.

• RBAC, client infrastructures, and business continuity concepts are as familiar to you as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Backup.

• You approach complex error patterns analytically and work in a structured manner. You communicate confidently in German and also master technical discussions in English.
