Role:
You are looking for a challenge that fully utilises your skills in network security. In this role as Senior Network Security Engineer, you take responsibility for the security of networks and develop strategies to detect and counter potential threats. You are responsible for implementing security measures and work closely with other teams to develop a comprehensive security strategy. With your extensive knowledge and experience as a professional, you make well-founded decisions to ensure network security. You are an important part of the security team and contribute to achieving the highest security standards.
Responsibilities:
- You design, build and operate global network security infrastructures and solutions to protect against cyber threats
- In this role, you are responsible for managing and continuously improving firewall, VPN, network segmentation and secure connectivity services
- As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you provide second and third level support for network security infrastructures and services
- You analyse internal customer requirements and develop secure, scalable network security solutions
- In this role, you ensure that global architecture, configuration and security standards are adhered to
- You continuously improve the design, performance and reliability of existing network security environments
Qualifications:
You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent training in computer engineering, information technology or a related engineering field or a technical training programme
You bring at least seven years of experience in network and/or network security engineering
You have extensive knowledge and experience with Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation and IPSec
You have very good knowledge of IT network security technologies such as intrusion detection and prevention systems, network access control, cloud network security and wireless security
You have good experience with Huawei and Cisco LAN and WLAN components
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
You are fluent in German and English
