Business Application & Data Specialist (m/f/d)
Role:
Anyone who enjoys understanding how a company works and developing better digital solutions from this will find a versatile field of activity here. The focus is on business applications, data, Microsoft technologies, and the continuous digitalisation of internal processes.
Responsibilities:
Central interface function between IT, management, and operational departments
Analysis of existing business processes and identification of digital optimisation opportunities
Design and implementation of reporting and BI solutions with Power BI
Development of interactive dashboards and key performance indicator models for different company areas
Support for managers and departments with data-based queries
Maintenance and optimisation of ERP applications and related systems
Further development of CRM-based information and communication solutions
Administration and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365
Handling IT and application requests with a focus on sustainable solutions
Gathering technical requirements and translating them into technical concepts
Participation in automation projects and digital workflow solutions
Planning and implementation of IT and digitalisation projects
Management and coordination of external technology partners
Creation of clear technical documentation and self-service instructions
Building a comprehensive understanding of the entire application landscape
Assuming additional specialist responsibility with a long-term perspective towards a leading IT role
Qualifications:
Professional training in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
Experience with enterprise software, IT support, or business applications
Solid Microsoft 365 knowledge
Experience with Power BI, reporting, or data analysis
Strong understanding of business contexts
Interest in ERP, CRM, data models, and digital business processes
Affinity for modern technologies such as low-code, automation, and cloud services
Ability to analyse and implement complex requirements clearly
High initiative and strong sense of responsibility
Enjoyment in collaborating with different departments
Willingness to continuously develop and take on a key role in IT in the long term
