Responsibilities:
Co-design of the IT strategy and development of future-oriented infrastructure and cloud concepts
Planning, building, and operating data centre, private cloud, and public cloud environments
Development and implementation of system architectures, automation, and orchestration solutions
Operation and further development of laboratory, development, and research environments for various IT application areas
Responsibility for selected applications and development platforms as well as coordination with internal IT teams and support in training IT junior staff
Qualifications:
Completed computer science degree (FH) or comparable higher technical education
Several years of experience in IT projects, cloud infrastructure, and the development of technical architecture concepts
Very good knowledge of Linux and Windows Server, VMware vSphere, Git, and modern DevOps toolchains
Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management, ideally Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Sound knowledge of IT service management, especially incident, problem, and change management, combined with a strong understanding of architecture and automation
