About the job
The Neuro medical department is one of three strategic focal points within the Insel Group and encompasses the specialties of neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology. With nearly 570 full-time positions, approximately 5,300 inpatients and around 72,000 outpatient visits are cared for annually. In this responsible and versatile role, you will contribute significantly to efficient, patient-centred care in the Neuro medical department. You will work hand in hand with doctors and nursing staff and be the first point of contact for inpatients.
What to expect
- At the central hub of the Neuro ward, you are the first point of contact for patients, relatives, and external partners – friendly, competent, and reliable
- You take on a variety of administrative tasks such as maintaining patient data, handling enquiries, and managing documents
- In addition to general administrative duties, you support clarifications regarding insurance matters, cost coverage, and billing of services
- You relieve doctors and nursing staff in their administrative daily routine, thus making an important contribution to smooth ward operations
- You work interdisciplinarily and have the opportunity to actively contribute to optimising processes and further developing the ward secretariat
What you bring
- Completed training in nursing or medical fields (e.g. health specialist) or a commercial basic education in a hospital environment – ideally with several years of professional experience in a comparable role
- Enjoyment of direct patient contact and a service-oriented, courteous personality
- Ability to remain calm in hectic situations, set priorities correctly, and keep an overview
- Team spirit, openness, and empathy in interdisciplinary collaboration
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; knowledge of another language (English or French) is an advantage
