Your mission:
Within the CAPEX team, you are the technical expert in fire protection for industrial investment projects. You ensure the definition, integration and implementation of fire protection solutions, from the design phases to commissioning, in compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, deadlines and budgets.
Your responsibilities:
- Define and implement fire protection concepts for industrial investment projects.
- Ensure technical coordination with architects, engineering offices, fire protection specialists, project teams and the site fire brigade.
- Supervise fire protection systems: sprinkler networks, deluge systems, dry extinguishing systems, fire water networks and fire water retention solutions.
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors responsible for fire protection installations.
- Guarantee the proper execution of projects in terms of cost, quality, deadlines and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in 3D design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination meetings to identify and resolve technical conflicts.
- Supervise commissioning activities, functional tests and qualification of fire protection installations.
- Participate in integrated system tests with engineering teams, external companies and project stakeholders.
- Ensure the review, collection and transmission of final technical documentation (as-built) as well as the transfer of installations to operational teams.
- Provide technical support to other engineering activities and projects led by the CAPEX team.
Your profile:
- HES Engineer degree, Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent field.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in engineering, project execution or industrial operations, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, chemical or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong expertise in fire protection systems and excellent knowledge of applicable regulations, standards and guidelines (VKF, SES or equivalent).
- Proven experience in regulated environments, ideally GMP and clean rooms.
- Mastery of commissioning activities, integrated testing and validation of technical systems.
- Good understanding of fire risk analyses and selection criteria for wet and dry extinguishing technologies for industrial installations, laboratories, utilities and pharmaceutical sites.
- VKF certification "Fachperson für Wasserlöschanlagen" or equivalent is a major asset.
- Fluent French and German or German and English.
