Role:
In this role, as a Senior Network Engineer, you take responsibility for planning, implementing, and optimising complex network environments. You analyse existing infrastructures, identify potential for performance and security improvements, and implement these technically soundly. You coordinate demanding network projects, liaise with relevant stakeholders, and ensure stable, scalable operation. You evaluate new technologies and solutions, make architectural decisions based on this, and document your results in a structured manner. Additionally, you share your expertise with other professionals, support them with technical queries, and thus sustainably shape the further development of network solutions.
Responsibilities:
You plan, implement, and document communication networks for the army, federal government, and emergency services.
In doing so, you develop network concepts focusing on stability, security, and availability.
You configure, test, and operate network components and support customers with technical concerns.
For 3rd level issues, you analyse and resolve complex network and security faults.
Additionally, you support the project management in pre-sales with architecture and solution concepts.
Qualifications:
Technical education at tertiary level (HF, BSc, MSc or MAS) in engineering or equivalent.
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and communication security as well as experience with Cisco, Juniper or Check Point.
Cisco certifications or further training in IP communication are advantageous.
Fluent written and spoken German, good English skills (B2), and a strong willingness to learn.
