Trust Officer
Joining a busy, well-established small office, this role is ideal for an experienced Trust Officer looking to manage a sophisticated, low-volume client base from day one. You will oversee complex, multi-entity structures for a small number of principal families, taking full responsibility for both trust administration and client relationships from A-Z. While the number of entities will vary depending on experience, the role is not driven by volume. With direct and easy access to Senior Management, you will operate with autonomy within a supportive framework, working alongside a Senior Trust Officer. The caseload offers a high level of complexity and responsibility, providing an excellent platform to refine your expertise, with clear scope to grow within the firm over time.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Full administration of complex trust and corporate structures
- Preparation of trustee and board resolutions, minutes, deeds of appointment, and powers of attorney
- Managing client relationships with a long-term fiduciary mindset
- Working with professional advisors on estate planning, wealth preservation, and succession matters
- Liaising with investment advisors and banking partners regarding client structures
- Oversight of financial statements, preparation of annual and investment views
- Active participation in risk management, including KYC/AML compliance
- Monitoring fees, invoicing, and receivables
- Maintaining accurate records and document filing
- Bachelor's in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years+ experience in trusts and wealth structuring, gained at a trust company, bank, law firm, or similar institution
- STEP qualified (or working towards)
- Confirmed experience with complex, multi-entity client structures
- A technically strong, collaborative team player who is grounded and personable
- You thrive in a culture that prioritises long-term relationships
- Fluent English; French or Spanish advantageous but not required
- Swiss residency preferred, although cross-border workers will be considered
