About the job
As a professional in socio-educational work, within the Social Cohesion, Childhood & Youth Service, the SFA is a resource person available to families and schools. They contribute, through their professional expertise, to fostering collaboration between families, teachers, and stakeholders involved with the pupil and their family. The SFA collaborates with the school management board, families, enrolled children and adolescents, as well as the Municipality, extracurricular programmes, and various partners. They promote the prevention of risks related to precariousness and/or socio-educational issues, and support school and social integration for both pupils and their families. Area of intervention: Primary schools of Prangins (1P-8P) and Secondary school (9S to 12S).
Your missions
- Listen, support, advise and guide pupils and/or families with confidentiality and respect for the individual
- Seek solutions related to school, family or social issues in collaboration with parents, pupils, teachers or relevant actors
- Inform, accompany and encourage synergies between the various partners
- Through partnership and network work established in the broader social field, intervene with the child at the request of families and/or the management board
- At the request of families and/or the management board, participate in meetings between the family and the school to best support families in this partnership and ensure a facilitator role in school-family communication
- Support families in their administrative, psychosocial, legal and/or financial procedures
- Meet families at the office, at school or at the family’s home.
Your profile
- University of Applied Sciences degree in social work
- Significant experience in the field of social work
- Ability to adapt to a work context linked to a municipal administration
- Ability to work autonomously and in partnership networks
- Good understanding of federal and cantonal legislation
- Provide a clean criminal record extract
