Project Manager Structural Engineering (m/f/d)

Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as Project Manager Structural Engineering / Civil Engineer for versatile and technically demanding projects in structural engineering. You will work on new builds and conversions as well as projects in building preservation and develop economical structural and renovation concepts across various project phases. Depending on your professional experience, you will take on technical project management, structural design, and coordination with architecture, specialist planning, and clients. Additionally, you will contribute to project acquisition and development of technical solutions as well as the further development of the specialist department.
Responsibilities:
Planning and management of demanding projects in structural engineering for new builds, conversions, and existing buildings
Development and assessment of structural concepts considering construction, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility
Execution of structural calculations and design for constructions made of reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
Handling projects in building preservation including condition assessments, reinforcement, and repair concepts
Responsibility for operational project management from project definition and planning to execution and completion
Preparation of structural verifications, calculation models, technical reports, and design documents
Coordination of interfaces with architecture, clients, specialist planners, authorities, and contractors
Technical supervision and control of formwork, reinforcement, and construction plans
Ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines, quality, and relevant SIA standards
Technical support of projects during execution, site supervision, and acceptance
Development of structurally and economically optimised solutions for complex structural and existing building issues
Participation in acquisition, fee proposals, and project offers as well as in the professional development of the engineering department
Qualifications:
Degree as Civil Engineer BSc/MSc FH/ETH or training as certified technician HF construction planning with the appropriate specialisation
Professional experience in structural engineering and structural design is an advantage; qualified recent graduates are also possible
Solid knowledge in structural analysis, structural design, and constructive detailing
Knowledge in conversion, building in existing structures, and building preservation is an advantage
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss planning processes
Experience with industry-standard structural/FEM and CAD/BIM software is an advantage
