On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Project Manager Solar Technology for the technical planning and implementation of photovoltaic projects and building-integrated solar solutions. In this role, you will take on project management from conception through technical planning to realisation and coordinate all project participants in the areas of solar roofs, solar façades, and building envelopes.
You will be responsible for the technical and economic management of demanding solar projects, advise architects, specialist planners, builders, and executing companies, and support the development and integration of innovative photovoltaic systems.
Responsibilities:
Independent management of photovoltaic projects in the areas of solar roofs, solar façades, and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) from planning to handover
Technical planning and project design of solar systems including system layout, dimensioning, and coordination with the building envelope construction
Coordination of architects, electrical planners, façade builders, roofers, and installation companies during all project phases
Preparation of project calculations, quotations, specifications, and technical execution documents as well as monitoring costs, deadlines, and quality
Technical advice to builders, general contractors, and planning offices regarding solar systems, substructures, and structural integration
Supervision of assembly, installation, and commissioning of photovoltaic systems as well as conducting technical quality controls and site inspections
Ensuring compliance with Swiss building standards, electrical regulations, and safety requirements as well as preparing project documentation
Qualifications:
Completed technical education in electrical engineering, building technology, energy and environmental technology, or construction, ideally with further training as a technician HF or engineer FH
Several years of professional experience in project management of photovoltaic systems, solar systems, or building technology energy projects
Sound knowledge of photovoltaics, building-integrated solar systems (BIPV), roof and façade constructions, and technical planning processes
Confident use of CAD and project planning software, knowledge of relevant Swiss standards and regulations, fluent German skills, and a category B driving licence
