In this role, you contribute to ensuring that a modern educational institution with a diverse range of offerings always stays up to date. You participate in a forward-looking and innovative transmission of knowledge, oriented both nationally and internationally. In this context, you support various departments within the university services and contribute to smooth university operations. Through your commitment, you actively shape a shared, sustainable future.
Responsibilities:
Design and continuous modernisation of a professional digital workplace environment with a focus on stable, secure, and efficiently operable client platforms
Engineering and administration of modern endpoint and desktop virtualisation solutions as well as technical optimisation of workplace security together with cybersecurity specialists
Automation of recurring operational processes with PowerShell and technical management of extensive hardware and software rollouts
Analysis of complex client issues at 2nd/3rd level and taking technical responsibility in infrastructure and workplace projects
Qualifications:
Advanced IT education at HF/FH level or equivalent qualification and at least five years of experience in client and workplace engineering of larger IT landscapes
Solid know-how in Microsoft Endpoint Management with Intune, MDM, and Group Policies as well as good knowledge of Azure-based services
Practical experience with SCCM/MECM, desktop or virtualisation platforms, and very good PowerShell skills; VMware experience is an advantage
Service- and process-oriented engineer with ITSM understanding, very good German skills at C1 level, and ideally relevant Microsoft certifications
