Category Management Specialist (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Category Management Specialist (m/f/d), you will manage various product categories, develop purchasing strategies, and optimise procurement processes in a demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the strategic procurement of various product categories, especially indirect materials and services.
You organise public tenders and ensure compliance with applicable procurement regulations.
You conduct price and contract negotiations, compare offers, and develop economical procurement solutions.
You maintain supplier relationships, evaluate their performance, and further develop the collaboration.
You analyse procurement markets and contribute to the improvement of purchasing processes as well as digitalisation and innovation projects.
You advise internal departments on purchasing matters and support the further development of standards and guidelines.
Qualifications:
You have a completed degree in business administration or engineering, or an equivalent qualification with further training in purchasing.
You bring several years of experience in strategic purchasing and managing product categories or procurement portfolios.
You convince with negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and an entrepreneurial way of working.
