Role:
Stable networks and well-thought-out security concepts are the backbone of every modern IT environment. As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you design exactly this foundation in demanding customer environments, relying on HPE Aruba and Fortinet. Besides network and security, you are also attracted to comprehensive infrastructure projects. You can expect plenty of freedom in planning and implementation, and your experience will be genuinely valued here.
Responsibilities:
You plan, configure, and optimise customer environments with a focus on network and IT security
You are responsible for demanding IT projects from the initial concept to acceptance
Furthermore, you ensure the maintenance and support of customer networks
In broader infrastructure projects, you actively contribute and think outside the box
Additionally, you proactively share your know-how and benefit from the knowledge of your team colleagues
Moreover, after a short induction, you work independently and continuously develop your skills
Qualifications:
You have completed IT training with professional experience, or you are about to complete a part-time degree
You are well versed in switching, routing, and WLAN and hold a certification at CCNA or CCNP level or an equivalent qualification
You have solid experience with Aruba products and firewalls, especially FortiGate, ideally with current certifications
You are familiar with Windows Server, Windows Client, and virtualisation technologies and understand the systemic interrelationships
You also appreciate customer contact, keep an overview even in hectic phases, and are willing to go the extra mile when needed
