About the job
Microsoft 365 is the digital backbone of collaboration in the cantonal administration and schools of the Canton of Lucerne. We are rebuilding the operation of this corporate platform as our own team and gradually taking it over from an external partner. As Product Owner M365, you will shape this development from the start and turn the requirements of the departments into effective solutions.
Your tasks
- You manage the team backlog of the M365 team: you translate requirements into clearly defined, prioritised backlog items, define acceptance criteria and approve the results.
- In close collaboration with the Product Manager M365, you convert the roadmap and priorities into actionable work packages and represent the team in SAFe events (PI Planning, PO-Sync, Review, Refinement).
- You work closely with the DevOps Engineers daily: you clarify technical questions, remove dependencies and blockers, and ensure that operational and development topics are properly weighted in the backlog.
- You bring new requests such as Copilot, Power Platform or other M365 services together with the governance, security and data protection officers in a comprehensible and documented manner for approval.
- You actively contribute to building the new M365 team and bring in agile working methods, a strong customer orientation and a strong sense of ownership.
Your profile
- Completed training or studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field (FA, HF, FH or university).
- Several years of experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role in the environment of modern workplace and collaboration solutions, ideally in a scaled agile setup (SAFe). You work self-organised, proactively and take responsibility for the entire lifecycle of your products.
- Solid technical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 platform (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform): you know administration and governance functions, understand possibilities and limitations and actively follow current developments such as Copilot.
- Understanding of modern operating models: DevOps, automation and configuration as code in the M365 context.
- Experience in public administration or a regulated environment is an advantage; you see data protection and governance as a quality feature, not as a brake.
- You analyse and prioritise requirements in a structured way, lead different stakeholders to viable solutions and remain reliable even when interests collide.
- Communication skills, interconnected thinking as well as a strong customer and service orientation complete your profile.
